The theme of sustainability is addressed in its various forms:
- The quality of urban redevelopment area in the recovery process of historical patrimony and reconstruction “post earthquake ",as reformulation of the theme of sustainability in the light of a new concept of sustainable urban project;
- The theme of protection and valorization of cultural landscapes in the region and developing a network of sustainable tourism;
- Understanding the sustainability of social life such as security, cultural integration and the creation of public spaces and socializing in the urban context;
- Excellence in scientific research and industry, represented by the Centre of innovation in environmental certification.
